my life!

As we geared up for the upcoming performance, we seem to be facing a lot of problems. For example, ATTENDANCE! Attendance is a major part of band discipline. I understand that exams are around the corner but we have only about 4 practices before our first rehearsal. Dearest Students, I am a little upset over the fact that so many of you can simply just disappear because exams are coming. I know exams are coming but so is the 75th anniversary. 2 practices has already passed and although the band can play Classical Canon and Final Countdown, you must ask yourself whether it is the band who can play this 2 pieces or is it the leaders who can play this 2 pieces. The people who are at band for these 2 days are all the better players who usually read scores quickly. Those who didn’t come are the ones who actually need the practice. I have stress upon the band many times that the standard of the band is determine not by our best players, it is determined by our worst player. If everyone is average, a lot of problems will naturally solve. I will not mention any names although I feel like doing so. Instead, I will mention the people who still continue to commit towards a more successful band.
