All is not Lost! By JGCompetition has been over for already a good 2 weeks and I guess you kids are still upset over the results. The truth is that we have gained more then just a bronze. The experience you have achieved, the music we have created, the family we built, the discipline that has been instilled and lastly, we must now learn the hardest task of all, to pick ourselves up when we fall. We haven’t fallen very far as we look back at all the other achievements we have gotten and the education that experiences has provided for us. It is hard to pick ourselves up and move forward when we know not how life would be like after the competition but I see a very bright future ahead and so to all my beloved students of QNPS brass band, don’t be disheartened. We have many more things to do and we have many more things to learn and we have many more things to experience. And to all my students, our journey beckons as we forge a road ahead of us and despite all that has happened, life goes on and so does our journey to mature, to grow and to comprehend. Look at the cup as Half Full rather then to look at it half empty. Has life truly come to an end? If that is how you feel about the competition, then there is little I or anybody can do to help you. Life never truly ends for anyone as things can never truly be finished. The upcoming 75th Anniversary of QNPS is another colossal performance waiting to happen. What will happen? We will tear the school down with the greatness of our music, let the audience scream at the impressiveness of our entertainment and we will charm the school with melodies that touches the soul. Continue to breath, continue to grow, continue to work hard and lastly always believe that you are meant for something great. Never give up and life will never give up on you either.
Hope my words have brought you back to your senses. I have only but 1 last thing to say, I am proud of you kids.
